disappearance? What strange behaviors made this person (or persons) seem
suspicious?
Jason ended up becoming a suspect and was arrested for “using force” against a police
officer. He also refused to give Nicholas a ride on the night of his disappearance.

2. The veteran FBI agent Nancy Fisher initially suspected that Frédéric Bourdin was a
what?
She suspected him as a French or Spanish spy.

3. Briefly describe the 1928 missing children’s case that reminds the author of the Nicholas
Barclay case. In what important way are the two cases different or similar in regards to
mothers and law-enforcement authorities?
On March 10, 1928, a 9-year-old boy named Walter Collins disappeared in LA. After six
months had passed a boy showed up claiming to be him and stated that he’d been
kidnapped. His mother didn't believe that was her son making the cases similar because
both impersonators looked nothing like the missing victim.

4. In the end, who is the only person in this case that had any sympathy for Frédéric
Bourdin at his trial?
Beverly was the only one who sympathized with Bordin at his trial.

5. Ironically, why didn’t any of Frédéric’s family come to his 2007 wedding?
They didn’t attend his wedding in 2007 because ironically no one believed him.
