Dear Mr. Leaf,

I would like to introduce myself as an applicant for the line cook position. As someone with 4+ years
in the restaurant industry, I am confident in my ability to prepare, and serve your customers with
care. I feel that I am a perfect fit for your team at the Langley North location as I have experience
with both serving customers as a cashier and working diligently behind the front line. After many
great experiences at your location I hope to join your extremely friendly staff in pleasing your

I have always enjoyed cooking as it allows me to express myself while simultaneously creating tasty
and enjoyable experiences. Although I like using my creativity to make different dishes, I often find
myself repeatedly making the same dishes that fail to disappoint; like many of your menu items.
Growing up, I realized that I enjoy learning new things and in the various kitchens I’ve been in,
they’ve allowed me to learn new techniques, recipes, and team-building skills.

As I plan on attending Post-Secondary School in the fall, meal preparation and social interactions
will be essential to living a healthy lifestyle. Working at The Chopped Leaf would be the perfect fit
for me as I could regularly practice both of these important skills in a part-time position to maintain
an important balance.

I am excited to fill one of your positions on the team and bring my talents to The Chopped Leaf. I feel
that your franchise’s goals and core missions are aligned with mine to serve and care for customers.
