and their security by using electronic devices to both detect The problem & alert

Authorities This document suggests a new perspective to use technology to

protect women. We use an android based smart phone with an integrated feature

that alerts and provides location based Information. This Document describes

GPS and GSM based “With Her “that provides the combination of GPS devices

as- well-as provide alerts and message with an emergency button Trigger.

Whenever somebody is in Trouble They Only have to press Volume Key Button

After that a message alert is sent to Register Contact list and a Voice Call to the

Number registered first and give a message “I AM In TROUBLE PLEASE

HELP ME” Now a day safety of women is becoming very poor with the help of

1.1 INTRODUCTION
BACKGROUND: -

This application designed to provide security to women main purpose of this

application to provide awareness on the time of critical situations for women.

Initially when we open the application a list view of contact details will be

appeared where in this section, the contacts who will respond immediately must

be saved like (Family, Friends and Police Helpline number).These contacts are

registered contacts and there is a start button , when we click start button the

GPS information is sent to the database continuously for an interval of time.

The purpose of the database is it can continuously track the location of the

user. If the user is in trouble then , based on the user’s location from the

database from the control room , the nearest Police Station people can go to the

location and can rescue the user/person in danger. Hence, by sending the user’s

location in periodic time the exact location of the person will be identified.

1.2 MOTIVATION FOR THE WORK :-

The main purpose of the project is to provide a highly reliable security system

for the safety of women. The proposed system is based on advanced sensors,

Microcontroller and GSM. The basic aim of the system is to develop a low cost

solution for GPS based women tracking system (women safety system). The

main objective of the system is to track the current location of the person which

has an android enabled mobile by extracting the longitude and latitude of that

target person.

1.3 INTRODUCTION OF THE PROJECT:-

With-Her is a women safety application which helps users to send an instant

alert to their emergency contacts in case of urgency. It is a GPS enabled

application which sends the location of the user immediately to the nearest

police station as well as the SOS contacts. It pops a notification each time you

enter a risk zone which has been unsafe for women in the past. Users can mark

a location as unsafe on the app if they feel so, for future reference as well as for

the other user’s awareness. The app will be active 24/7. A With-Her team will

be there to handle any type of technical glitch. With-Her is a platform for

women to help them and to make this society a safer place for women to live.

1.4 PROBLEM STATEMENT

Personal security has always been a major concern for women in India, and

various potential solutions have been discussed on how technology can be

incorporated to solve the problem. Technology only covers a part of the larger

picture and a larger social transformation is required. Regardless of the

conversation, our application will cover how technology can help on that front.

1.5 OBJECTIVE OF THE WORK

Whenever women in any kind of trouble she will press the emergency button
and an alert will be immediately sent to the nearest police station. Then it is the
responsibility of the police squad to handle the situation.

1.6 ORGANIZATION OF THE THESIS

This dissertation shows how a realistic model can help system designers and

programmers to understand the performance characteristics of the underlying

communication system. The organization of this thesis is as follows.

Introduction 1.1 introduces our communication model in detail. We first

describe the architectural model that our communication model is built on, as

well as provide a breakdown view on how data flows through this architecture.

Then we list out all the parameters of this communication model together with

their associated cost formulae. The last section in Chapter 2 is focusing on

reviewing other related models, and showing how our work is distinguished

from other works.

Chapter 3 provides a brief description on the Directed Point communication

package [59], which is used as our tool to validate the thesis statement. Then we

measure two of the Ethernet-based implementations of Directed Point and

perform a systematic analysis on their performance. Through our modeling

framework, we easily spot out the strength and weakness of these systems. In

Chapter 4, we extend our performance studies from a point-to-point analysis to

a highly congested communication pattern, the many-to-one collective

operation. We focus on the congestion behavior of how the reliable transmission

protocol performs under heavy congestive loss situation. The primary network

architectural feature relevant to this study is the switch's buffering architecture,

which is one of the performance parameters of our communication model. We

conduct both experimental and analytical studies on two different buffering

architectures, and investigate on how these buffering mechanisms impact on the

resulting performance.

Chapter 5 and 6 highlight another capability of our communication model -

algorithm design and analysis. In these chapters, we are focusing on another

communication pattern, the many-to-many complete exchange operation. In

Chapter 5, we discuss an efficient algorithm, the Synchronous Shuffle Exchange

algorithm, for the complete exchange operation with our communication model.

We make use of our model parameters to show that this algorithm is optimal on

a theoretical non-blocking network. We also show that, in reality, the switch's

buffering architecture may hamper the performance of our optimal algorithm,

due to the demanding nature of this algorithm.

In Chapter 6, we extend our study on the complete exchange operation to

another realistic LAN topology, the Hierarchical network [35]. And we show

that there are architectural limitations on this topology. Again, by using the

resource information provided by our communication model, we have designed

a proactive congestion control scheme to augment the original synchronous

shuffle exchange algorithm to work efficiently on this network topology.

Chapter 7 gives a summary of this dissertation as well as discusses directions

for future work. Last but not the least, Appendix A contains the full description

of all benchmark methodologies of our communication model.

INTRODUCTION: -
Based on a review of the available literature , a recommended practice for

the women’s safety stresses the importance on the entire area, from the initial
research through to implementation and follow up, Within the literature, there

is an agreement that we should focus on the specificity of the individual

community in which they are performed. In this way, the locally-specific

residents can be best utilized. Moreover , local consideration enables safety

audit participants to identify the day to day challenges women face.

A local focus also highlights the important role of municipal government in

improving safety and of community organizations , which often passes a wealth

of useful knowledge and influence. Including professionals from the public and

private sector provides further aid. Organisation and/or individuals who already

possess connections to key resources can quickly and effectively connect the

adult team with what they need. In many cases, women’s safety adult reports

recommend changes to the physical environment.

EXISTING ALGORITHMS: -

Keeping the same concern in mind many developers have come up with

innovative applications. Few of such applications are as follows

VithU App: This is an emergency app initiated by a popular Indian crime

television series “Gumrah” aired on Channel . In this app when the power
button of the Smartphone is pressed twice consecutively, it will begin sending

out alert messages with a link to the location of the user every two minutes to

the contacts fed into the app. Advance Women Security System based on

Android

SHE (Society Harnessing Equipment): It is a garment designed by three

engineers from Chennai. This garment has an electric circuit that can generate

3800kv of current which can help the victim to escape.In case of multiple

attacks it can send upto 82 electric shocks. Since the fabric is bilayer, the user is

not affected. It can also send emergency messages.

FIGHT BACK: This app is developed by Mahindra faction. In earlier days,

this app was not complimentary, customers have to compensate for this app. But

after Delhi gang rape this app is on hand at no cost. This app sends a message to

your friend or contacts that “user is in trouble” using Email, GPS, SMS and

GPRS. This app works on that mobile which supports Android Java

Programming. Using this application, you can send SMS of your location using

maps also
B) GUARD: This app is developed basically for women safety intentions. This

app puts a phone call by your name, instantaneous location, and emergency hit

to your selected friends. In this app you have to give your details in profile

sheets e.g. birthdates, tallness, weight, eye-color, blood group, hair-color, etc.

This app is also used in IPhone, IPod, BlackBerry, Windows Phone etc.

C) LIFE 360: Family Locator:-This is a free app. In an emergency this app

reports to your friends and family. Using this app you can find relative members

on a personal map. This app helps you to know about your family, whether they

are safe or in trouble. Life360 shows wellbeing places like hospital, police

stations, etc near to you as well as recent crimes nearby and registered sex

offenders.

D) STREET SAFE: This application is developed on worldwide Women’s

day. It will call the community to help you in any situation. This app has 4

features for crisis which would be started by just clicking on the button. These

features are as – First, it automatically updates on your Facebook account with

your recent location. Second, SMS will be sent to chosen associates with your

locality. Third, an alarm is started with a large volume on your mobile. Fourth,

call to find your chosen emergency number .

RESEARCH OBSERVATIONS FROM LITERATURE SURVEY: -

Based on a review of the available literature, a recommended practice the

subway exists.

We recommend that safety audit guides provide more direction on follow-up

strategies, including ways for women to evaluate actual public policy and

procedure.

SUMMARY- We have explained the problem of the women safety is

increased rapidly in this environment, so we proposed as an effective Android

application to prevent such type of the suspicious or natural disaster, by alerting

the concern authorities using the android mobile phone which helps to stop such

type of illegal activates and to trace the concern.

 SYSTEM ANALYSIS

INTRODUCTION: -

As we mentioned before, With-Her is a women safety application which helps

send the location to the group of people stored in the phone , SOS
 Message, Track your phone and additionally we used a technique of

clicking the volume button.

2) The basic aim of the project is to develop a solution for GPS based

women tracking system which can be applied to various domains of the

industrial and personal use just by using the very common means i.e.

mobile with android enabled.

3) The primary objective of our system is to track the person and the plot of

the location on a real time system like Google Maps .

4) The main objective of the project is to track the current location of the

person which has an android enabled mobile by extracting the longitude

and latitude of that person.

DISADVANTAGES IN EXISTING SYSTEM: -

∙ Advertisement keeps popping up which is annoying to a lot of users.

∙ Location-related issues.

∙ Too much of access permissions.

∙ Notification issues as many have complained that the notifications are

either not coming up or coming frequently which causes a disturbance.

∙ Icons visibility.

∙ Login issues, like the app, get stuck while login in for few users.

PROPOSED SYSTEM:-

This proposed system is ‘GSM & GPS Based women Security System’. It

consists of GPS device ie. Any Android Phone and an emergency button. GPS

devices must be placed inside the device (Android Phone). The device will

provide the position information such as latitude, longitude of women. An

emergency button is fixed on the device at a particular position. Whenever

women in any kind of trouble she will press the emergency button and an alert

will be immediately sent to the nearest police station. Then it is the

USAGE AND ADVANTAGES: -

This app incorporates all the essential features such as GPS tracking,

emergency contact numbers, directions to safe locations etc. The app also pins

the safe areas along with their safety scores to go at the time of any problem. It

also enables the users to pin unsafe areas and help others.

OBSERVATION

Introduction: -

The project contains the following four modules:

1) Profile Module: Profile is an important component to use, which helps the

users to add his/her personal details: Name, Address, Email Id, Mobile

Number.
2) Police Station: The user will get information about the nearer police

station.

3) Emergency Contacts: Required details of one who is in danger will be

conducted to the right persons or family members or friends or help

lines.

4) Emergency Button: When a user enters any danger prone area , app

sends an alert message automatically.

RESULT OBTAINED :-

1. An app for tracking woman’s whereabouts created with the mentioned

features in the above slides
DISCUSSION:-
1. Features like location tracking SOS communication and associating with
local helplines were finalized.
2. Shake safety features was dropped because of its limitations.(trying to get
a solution for it , so that can installed in future)
3. Various FAQ’s were discussed to provide users with immediate help and
assistance.
4. What technology and platform was also discussed thoroughly.
SYSTEM DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION-

1. Any android phone with working GPS and SIM.

2. For iOS 12.4.6 version is the minimum requirement.

3. For Android Kitkat 4.4 is the minimum requirement.

Data Flow Diagrams are a graphical tool used to describe and analyze the

movement of data through a system. DFD’s are used to capture the essential

features of both existing real systems and future physical implementation of the

system. The DFD is a graphical technique that depicts the information flow and

the transforms that are applied as data move from input to the output.

FUTURE ENHANCEMENT AND CONCLUSION

INTRODUCTION: -
In this section we will be the future modifications and enhancement of the
application. We will answer the question, “What new can be done?”. Our
application will grow with the time, to be more useful and more user-friendly.
We will be discussing some aspects of its growth.
