Prevention in Environment

In the Philippines, shifting cultivation, locally known as kaingin, is a

major land-use in upland areas. We measured the distribution and
recovery of aboveground biomass carbon along a fallow gradient in
post-kaingin secondary forests in an upland area in the Philippines.

Forests around the world are under assault. They are sick, they are
burning and they are disappearing. Above our economic development
has placed enormous pressure on the world’s forests. Nations often rely
on natural resource extraction and agricultural expansion to meet ever-
growing national and international demand. This provides people with
livelihoods, infrastructure and social services. However, land
development also leads to a loss of biodiversity, fertile soil and
ecosystem services, which threatens the welfare of generations to come.

I raised my own awareness and then thought about it what it all means.
Hindsight now tells me that I should have thought about the meaning of
it all and then make my own conclusions about what the truth, problem
and solution should be. I have learned that treating a symptom is not
curing a disease. Relief of a symptom is not the absence of the problem.
So if you want to raise awareness for anything, please raise the
awareness of your immediate environment and see that you have ignored
and accepted. Everything in life is reflective. I am telling you that if you
want to know the solution of something that benefits you, only you can
come up with the appropriate answer that is made to your needs and life.
