1. Who shall take the NSTP?

-All students, male and female, enrolled in any baccalaureate degree course or least two
(2)-year technical-vocational courses in public and private educational institutions shall
be required to complete one (1) of the NSTP components as requisite for graduation.
2. Who is responsible for supervising the NSTP?
- School authorities are the ones responsible for exercising academic and administrative
supervision over the design, formulation, adoption, and implementation of the different
NSTP components in their respective schools. However, when a CHED or TESDA –
accredited non-government organization (NGO) has been contracted to formulate and
administered a training module for any of the NSTP components, such academic and
administrative supervision shall be exercised jointly with that accredited NGO.
3. What lead agencies will monitor the implementation of the NSTP?
-CHED regional offices, TESDA provincial and district offices and DND-AFP are the lead
agencies which monitors the implementation of the NSTP. Through major service
reserve commands, the ROTC units of the said agencies shall oversee and monitor the
implementation of the NSTP under their respective jurisdiction, to determine if the
training conducted are in accordance with the NSTP act.
4. Is the NSTP available in all schools and universities?
-According to the NSTP act, all higher and technical-vocational institutions, public and
private, must offer at least one of the program components, while state universities and
colleges shall offer the ROTC component and at least one other component.
Furthermore, private higher and technical-vocational education institutions may also
offer the ROTC if they have at least three hundred and fifty (350) cadet students.
