For Position- President of Students’ Council at Indira Institute of Management,
Pune.

Objectives-
 Application of 3 c’s, communication, collaboration and co-ordination in
duties and responsibilities.
 Carrying out college events successfully with minimum cost and maximum
impact.
 Collaboration between 7 students’ councils of Academics and Research,
Discipline, CSR, E Cell, Events, Alumni and Branding.

Roles and Responsibilities I would perform if I become President:-


 I believe that becoming a president of students’ council of our prestigious
institute comes with the immense responsibility to act as an official
spokesperson for the council, being a prototype of an ideal Indira student
and being a role model for other students through my actions.
 It would be my responsibility to ensure collaboration, cooperation and
communication between members of students’ council, faculty members,
co-ordinators, support staff and upper management.
 It would be my daily priority to conduct a daily briefing of a students’
council regarding all types of issues, strategies, planning, forecasting, etc.
 I would conduct a weekly and monthly meetings of students’ council to
supervise their tasks, to prepare agendas, to have discussions and to ensure
smooth flow of all institutional activities.
 My role would be to act as a proactive and enthusiastic initiator, facilitator,
planner, communicator and a student representative in upcoming college
festivals, events, competitions and induction.
 In upcoming Examinations, Annual day, Alumni meet, ‘Curious’ and other
competitions my focus would be communicating with the respective
faculty members and support staff to design the agenda then delegating the
duties and responsibilities to the respective council members. I would
supervise the entire process along with ensuring the smooth flow of
processes according to the planned time frame.

My strengths which would be helpful in my position as a President:-


 Effective and fluent communication in English, Marathi and Hindi
 Disciplined, punctual and well groomed
 Active listener and Empathetic
 Problem solver and Capacity to bear high stress levels
 Quick learner and adaptor

Improvements I would try to make:-


 As a president, with help of discipline council, ensuring that students
follow strict grooming standards because students represent the image of
the college.
 With the help of respective council members, ensuring maximum
participation of students in the inter college and intra college competitions,
events, etc.
 We can start appreciating students for their excellent performance in
grooming, attendance, academics, and extra-curricular activities by giving
them a “Star of the month” certificate as a small token of recognition and
appreciation of their efforts which would encourage other students to
actively participate and perform in college activities.
 Concept of “Indira Civil Score”- To encourage maximum participation and
involvement in college programs, “Indira Civil Score” would be awarded
to the students. In the annual day, student with maximum score, would be
awarded with the Student of the year title. This score would be given by
the faculties to the students for early submissions of the CCAs, excellent
work in CCAs, excellent attendance, maximum participation in ILEAD,
IGLLS, Annual day and other extracurricular programmes.
 “Indira Express”- Every month, with the help of discipline council, 10 low
performing students with respect to attendance, academics, and
participation would be given personal mentoring and counselling by
available faculties.
