HOW IT WORKS

GAMMA CoGC
• The aim of the course is to develop students to acquire the knowledge and skills required to successfully
complete SQA Written + Orals & HND NS in Total 9 Months.
• On completion of this course, students can then proceed to UK followed by below.
The course would include:
• SQA Navigation and Stability Written
• Completely Taught Program HND in Nautical Science (Pt 2)
• HELM Management
• NAEST Management
• SQA Written examination fees
• Medicare Course.
• Students can then undertake MCA Oral Examinations

ELIGIBILITY
It is the responsibility of all candidates to ensure they
comply with the requirements of the UK Maritime &
Coastguard Agency with respect to existing qualifications
and sea time.

ENTRY
The requirements to gain a Chief Mate(Unlimited) UK
Certificate of Competency are as follows:
• Have completed 12 months’ watchkeeping service
while holding an OOW unlimited, II/I, Certificate
of Competency – see MSN 1856
• HNC (Higher National Certificate) in Nautical Science or
HND BTEC EDEXCEL Part 1 or holding similar UK MCA
Equivalent CoC from white list countries.
• NAEST (M) certificate (to be valid when finally
applying for your COC).The NAEST(M) course is
scheduled within course program.
ENROLMENT
This takes place on the first day of each course.
Late enrolment is only acceptable in
extreme circumstances and by prior
agreement and never more than 14
calendar days after course
commencement. All course fees are due
and payable on enrolment. You are
required to bring your current CoCand your
Discharge Book when you arrive at the College
to enroll on the first day. If these
documents are not presented, the College
maintains the right to refuse you admission
to the course.

On enrolment students will be able to

access HND Online study material and e-
library in order to prepare themselves well
in advance before commencement of
course.

COURSE FEES STRUCTURE

RESERVATIONS AND
DEPOSITS
Students are required to deposit a booking fee
amount Of £ 2000 GBP which is non refundable
and will be used as part payment towards the
course fees due on enrolment. .
Remaining Fee should be paid before course start
date.
Fees for Chief Mates & Master (Reg II/2) including HND
Nautical Science (34 Weeks) is as follows:
SQA Written + Orals Prep + Medicare + Complete
taught HND Program + NAEST M +
HELM M + SQA* Written Exam Fee
Total Fees £ 7500

The deposit may be transferred to a later course,

Course acceptance and Visa letter will be provided by
