Physical Description: Short tail, brush-


like tufts of black fur at the ends of the
ears, long limbs, and a collar of fur that
resembles a beard. It has a yellowish-
brown color with flecks. The head and
body measure 85 to 110 centimeters, with
the short tail adding an additional length
of 12 to 30 centimeters. The size of the
shoulders is 60 to 70 centimeters. The
male is larger and heavier than the
female.

Locomotion: It is a digitigrade animal,


the characteristic locomotion being
running.

Food: Carnivore - feeds on wild rabbits,


deer, mice, ducks, partridges, lizards,
among others.
