LR
LR structure

Depending on your RS, choose either of the following two structures:

● OPTION 1: one challenge

OR
● OPTION 2: one opportunity
OPTION 1: ONE CHALLENGE

1. The RS (one specific challenge)

2. The key elements of the challenge

3. The possible solutions to the challenge

4. The opportunities arising from the solutions

5. The possible recommendations to students concerning how to manage the

challenge and take full advantage of the opportunities

OPTION 2: ONE OPPORTUNITY

1. The RS (one specific opportunity)

2. The key elements of the opportunity

3. The possible challenges to the opportunity

4. The possible solutions to the challenges

5. The possible recommendations to students concerning how to take full advantage

of the opportunity and manage the challenges

FINDINGS
FINDINGS

1. Make sure you make sound choice of 4 to 5 findings.

2. The choice of findings should be supporting your arguments in your TS.
3. Start with the phrase indicating the rank;
4. Second, indicate the source (pay attention to where you got the finding from);
5. Third, make a brief mention of how the data were collected (methods);
6. Fourth, add the finding in a brief manner;
7. Finally, make sure you include an evidence.
8. Keep the sentence short and clear for the reader. BUT do not forget to write in complex
sentences.
9. Maintain academic style throughout.
10. All of the findings are written in past simple, except the two brief concluding issues (the
conclusion section).
FINDINGS

v. )You should link the findings with connective phrases as shown below:
● The initial finding of importance in relation to the topic was X.
● In addition to the issue of X, Y was another finding of importance in relation to
the TS argument.
● Another finding that was interesting was X.
● Furthermore, X also provided strong support for the TS argument in terms of Y.
● Finally, the most significant finding in relation to providing support for the TS
argument was X.
Go to CANVAS discussion and post your
findings

Grading checklist

The grading Guidelines
checklist ● The cover page and
the presentation
You should pay attention to the
following two aspects of the DRR
requirements
Key Writing Guidelines
i) DRR must reach the minimum word count of 1,100 words. The top limit is 1,300 words.
Below or above the limit will lead to deduction of grade.
The front cover, direct quotations, charts, diagrams, graphs, and references are NOT
included in the word count.

ii) All sections of the DRR must be fully completed. Partially completed work will be graded
zero.

iii) All the reported information must have a citation. No or no proper citation will result
in a failing grade as it is considered plagiarism.

iv) All citations must be in perfect APA 7th edition format or a fail level grade will be
awarded.
Key Writing Guidelines

v) All cited work must be included in the LR and listed in the References in
perfect APA 7th edition format. The Findings must not introduce new texts that
are not in the LR.

vi) All references must be presented in perfect APA 7th ed. format or a fail level
grade will be awarded. All work listed in the references must be cited in the LR.

vii) DRR must include a minimum of 6 different academic texts. DRR that
includes fewer than 6 texts in the LR will be awarded a fail level grade.
Key Writing Guidelines
viii) All work must be written in your own words based on a summary of the key
information. All work copied from the language of the original text will be
considered plagiarism and the grade will be zero. Do not try to paraphrase
paragraphs or sections of the text. Limited paraphrasing by changing a few words
here and there is not the same as summarising in your own words.
Such attempts at paraphrasing as a short-cut to summarising frequently result in
plagiarism, as the majority of the work remains in the original logical order, style,
vocabulary, and language of the author.
Key Writing Guidelines
ix) All charts, diagrams, graphs, and other visual data provided by the
author(s) must not be copy-and-pasted directly into your report. If you want to
include such visual data, it must be re-designed and summarised in your own
words. I recommend you not to use any UNLESS it is very crucial.

x) All direct quotations are not included in the word count. You must not
include more than two quotes, and these must be of no more than five
sentences.

xi) All sections of the DRR must be written in academic style and presented in
an appropriate paragraph format.
Key Writing Guidelines

xii) All work must be submitted on time and all late submissions, regardless of
the reasons or excuses, will be graded zero.

Xİİİ) All cited work are uploaded as PDF together your DRR and named properly
for example Smith, 2017
