SY 2021-2022
A study of Rules 128-133 of the Rules of Court in relation to the 2019 Amendments to the 1989 Rules on Evidence.
This course looks into the rules of presentation, admissibility, and weight and sufficiency of evidence, including
burden of proof and presumptions. Upon completion of the course, students are expected to have a strong fundamental
knowledge and understanding of the Rules of Court which will enable them to successfully hurdle the Bar Exams and
eventually be capable law practitioners.
** (Note:) In studying the assigned provision of the Rules, please note and incorporate revisions brought about by
the 2019 Amendments to the Revised Rules on Evidence.

• According to the Law School’s “cut system”, being a four-unit subject, twelve (12) absences are allowed.
Two “lates” are equivalent to 1 absence.
• Dress Code is strictly followed.
• For physical/face-to-face class: Electronic gadgets and material are NOT allowed during class. They
CANNOT be consulted or even glanced at during recitation.
