Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (flexible). Typically, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Work/Responsibilities:
This position will work in the area of biomass utilization and biorefinery development. The
postdoctoral researcher will be expected to (1) develop process simulation for fuels, chemicals,
materials production from biomass using Aspen Plus software, (2) conduct its economic analysis
in an Excel file, and (3) perform optimization based on experimental results and process
simulation. The expertise on process modeling using Aspen software is a must. Hand-on
experience in biological/chemical/material research and understanding of life cycle assessment is
a plus.

The postdoc hired in this position will have the ability to prepare manuscripts for peer-review
publication and supervise graduate/undergraduate students. The postdoc will also work with
other researchers and students in the Pl's group.

Experience/Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate in an appropriate field.

Note: Ph.D. student with an engineering background will be highly considered, expecting
biorefinery TEA is part of the student dissertation.
