Purpose Statement: The purpose of this study is to increase the reading ability, linguistic competence,
and communicative competence of learners in both first, second and vernacular language.
Title: The Post-Pandemic Reader: The myriad practices of remediating readers in a Philippine
government school.
1. What is the reading performance of the select struggling students as measured by a teacher
construct reading pre-test tool?
2. Since the struggling learners are clustered according to their reading abilities, what are the
readers’ impression regarding the peer mentoring method done during the remediation
instruction?
3. Is there are a significant difference between pre-test and post-test?
4. After the treatment what is the current reading abilities of select struggling learners?
