Report from Gut Elim, 12 April 2022

In November 2017, the Lord provided the way for us to purchase Gut Elim in Hessen, in central
Germany. Early the next year we began extensive renovations on 8 of the11 buildings. We now have
approximately 5000m2 of finished buildings, and 12.2 hectors of land, with forest, meadow, pasture,
trails and a stream adjacent to the property. During the course of renovation, we have been able to
use parts of the property for meetings and overnight rooms for the saints, but early in 2022, we
completed the works on the Manor Haus and the sustainable energy system that is now providing
nearly all of our heat, electricity and hot water needs, saving us nearly 1/2 million euros per year in
operating costs. Final commissioning of that system was completed in early February this year,
meaning that we could now fully utilize the finished buildings and be able to house and feed
approximately 150 people.

How wise and sovereign is our loving God and Father — that we would finish just 20 days before the
outbreak of war in Ukraine and the need to house and care for so many displaced saints coming out
from Ukraine to escape the fighting. On March 3, the first bus load of 45 saints from Ukraine arrived
and we began to provide for them, caring for their whole body and soul and spirit. Soon these were
followed by another 60 displaced saints. These are nearly all mothers with children and single
sisters, as all males 18 - 60 have had to remain in Ukraine for military duty. Many of these ones had
arduous journeys, with children in hand, walking for miles and hours in some cases. Their husbands,
homes, belongings and often other family members were left behind. You can imagine the
emotional and physical condition many of them were in.

Within a few days, many dear serving ones came to help. Soon, most of their outward needs were
being met with medical care, psychological care and practical nourishment with a marvelous kitchen
crew. Soon, the condition of most began to stabilize and their spirits were opened to receive the
real comfort and help, the bountiful supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ. The Lord’s presence and His
speaking has been abundant among both the refugee saints and the serving ones at Gut Elim.

The city of Bad Wildungen, adjacent to Gut Elim, also opened its heart to the ones here and soon
they were being registered, entitling them to health care in town, a monthly stipend for food,
housing and miscellaneous expenses and free SIM cards with unlimited calling to Ukraine. Over the
past few weekends, the majority of the Ukrainian saints have been visiting localities all over
Germany considering where they might move and begin to settle. Within a few more weeks, many
if not most will be leaving Gut Elim and moving to cities in Germany and other parts of Europe where
there are churches and saints to help them. Please pray for this. We anticipate the coming of more
displaced saints to Gut Elim once we have room, as the flow from Ukraine continues, though at a
slower pace.

This week we have begun renovation of a large historic barn that will become our main dining hall
with a new commercial kitchen, able to handle 250 + for meals. Saints are coming from the US and
UK to join the serving ones here to do the works. This will be a marvelous addition to Gut Elim. We
expect the dining hall to be ready by Summer and the new kitchen within a few months. Following
that project, as the Lord leads and provides, we may begin work on the final building at Gut Elim - a
historic house that dates back to the late 16th century. This renovation must be done in conjunction
with the German Historical Preservation Ministry, as it is a protected building and under their
jurisdiction. But still we should be able to renovate it in a careful way and add an additional 25 - 30
beds, with rooms especially suited to couples and families. Please also pray for this.

We have no idea how long the crisis in Ukraine may continue, but these past 5 1/2 weeks have been
a wonderful experience of the Lord’s provision, supply, strengthening, dispensing and loving care
towards His dear, suffering ones, despite the efforts of the enemy to frustrate and attack. We have
endured an outbreak of both adult Chicken Pox and now COVID. But both have been contained and
no widespread cases of either has taken place.

We are all under His blessing and consider it a great privilege to serve with Him and in Him, and
especially in the one Body at this time and under these circumstances. We truly have seen the rising
up of the one-talented members and are there no high or no low among us; no German, Russian,
American, Chinese, or Ukrainian among us, but just Christ and the real manifestation of the one new
man. To Him be the glory!

En noviembre de 2017, el Señor nos abrió el camino para comprar Gut Elim en Hessen, en
el centro de Alemania. A principios del año siguiente comenzamos unas remodelaciones extensas
en 8 de los 11 edificios. Ahora tenemos aproximadamente 5000 metros cuadrados de
construcciones terminadas y 12,2 hectáreas de terreno con bosque, prado, potrero, senderos y un
arroyo adyacente a la propiedad. Durante el trascurso de la remodelación, hemos podido usar
partes de la propiedad para reuniones y habitaciones para que los santos pasen la noche, pero a
principios de 2022 terminamos los trabajos en Manor Haus y el sistema de energía sostenible que
ahora proporciona casi todas nuestras necesidades de calefacción, electricidad y agua caliente,
ahorrándonos casi 1/2 millón de euros al año en costos operativos. La puesta en marcha final de ese
sistema se terminó a principios de febrero de este año, lo que significa que ahora podemos utilizar
en su totalidad los edificios terminados para poder albergar y alimentar a aproximadamente 150
personas.

Cuán sabio y soberano es nuestro amoroso Dios y Padre, que pudimos terminar los trabajos
solo 20 días antes del estallido de la guerra en Ucrania y la necesidad de albergar y cuidar a tantos
santos desplazados que salen de Ucrania para escapar de los combates. El 3 de marzo llegó el primer
autobús cargado de 45 santos de Ucrania y comenzamos a proveer para ellos, tomando cuidado de
todo su cuerpo, alma y espíritu. Muy pronto llegaron otras 60 santas desplazadas. Todas ellas son
madres con hijos y hermanas solteras, ya que todos los hombres entre los 18 y los 60 años han
tenido que permanecer en Ucrania para prestar el servicio militar. Muchas de ellas tuvieron arduas
travesías, con los niños en la mano, caminando kilómetros y horas en algunos casos. Sus esposos,
hogares, pertenencias y, a menudo, otros miembros de la familia quedaron atrás. Pueden imaginar
la condición emocional y física en la que se encontraban muchas de ellas.
 A los pocos días, muchos queridos servidores vinieron a ayudar. Rápidamente, la mayoría
de sus necesidades externas fueron satisfechas con atención médica, atención psicológica y
alimentación práctica con un maravilloso equipo de cocina. La condición de la mayoría comenzó a
estabilizarse muy pronto y sus espíritus se abrieron para recibir el verdadero consuelo y ayuda, la
abundante provisión del Espíritu de Jesucristo. La presencia del Señor y Sus palabras han sido
abundantes, tanto entre los santos refugiados como entre los que sirven en Gut Elim.

La ciudad de Bad Wildungen, adyacente a Gut Elim, también abrió su corazón a los que
tenemos hospedados y fueron registrados prontamente, lo que les dio derecho a atención médica
en la ciudad, un estipendio mensual para comida, alojamiento, gastos varios y tarjetas SIM gratuitas
con acceso ilimitado para llamar a Ucrania. Durante los últimos fines de semana, la mayoría de los
santos ucranianos han estado visitando localidades de toda Alemania, considerando a dónde
podrían mudarse y comenzar a establecerse. Dentro de unas pocas semanas más, muchos, si no la
mayoría, se irán de Gut Elim y se mudarán a ciudades de Alemania y otras partes de Europa donde
hay iglesias y santos que pueden ayudarlos. Por favor, oren por esto. Estamos anticipando la llegada
de más santos desplazados a Gut Elim una vez que tengamos espacio, ya que el flujo proveniente
de Ucrania continúa, aunque a un ritmo más lento.

Esta semana hemos comenzado la remodelación de un granero histórico muy grande que
se convertirá en nuestro comedor principal con una nueva cocina comercial, con capacidad para
más de 250 personas para servir las comidas. Están viniendo santos de los EE. UU. y el Reino Unido
para unirse a los que están sirviendo aquí para hacer los trabajos. Esta será una maravillosa adición
a Gut Elim. Esperamos que el comedor esté listo para el verano y la nueva cocina dentro de unos
meses. Siguiendo ese proyecto, a medida que el Señor dirija y provea, podemos comenzar a trabajar
en el último edificio en Gut Elim, una casa histórica que data de fines del siglo XVI. Esta remodelación
debe hacerse en conjunto con el Ministerio de Preservación Histórica de Alemania, ya que es un
edificio que está protegido y bajo su jurisdicción. Pero aun así deberíamos poder remodelarlo de
una manera cuidadosa, para agregar 25 a 30 camas adicionales, con habitaciones especialmente
adecuadas para parejas y familias. Por favor oren también por esto.
No tenemos idea de cuánto tiempo puede continuar la crisis en Ucrania, pero estas últimas
cinco semanas y media han sido una experiencia maravillosa con respecto a la provisión, el
suministro, el fortalecimiento, la dispensación y el cuidado amoroso del Señor hacia Sus queridos
santos que sufren, a pesar de los esfuerzos del enemigo para frustrar y atacar. Hemos soportado un
brote de varicela en adultos y ahora COVID. Pero ambos han sido contenidos y no se han producido
casos generalizados de propagación de ninguno de los dos.

Todos estamos bajo Su bendición y consideramos que es un gran privilegio servir con Él y en
Él, especialmente en el único Cuerpo en este momento y bajo estas circunstancias. Verdaderamente
hemos visto cómo los miembros de un talento se han levantado y nadie es superior ni inferior entre
nosotros; no hay ningún alemán, ruso, americano, chino o ucraniano entre nosotros, sino solo Cristo
y la manifestación verdadera del nuevo hombre. ¡A Él sea la gloria!
