How to Crimp with the

Deutsch DTT-20-00 Hand Tool


1. Strip insulation from wire according to the chart below.

2. Open the tool. Place the contact into the correct die
nest. (Pic. A)

3. Partially close the tool until the contact is held in place.

4. Insert the stripped wire into the contact. (Pic. C) Pic. B

5. Close the tool until the ratchet releases. The ratchet is


released when a loud click is heard.

6. Remove (Pic. D) and inspect the crimped contact for:


•No damaged wire strands. Pic. C
•No missing wire strands.
•Wire inserted to the proper depth in the contact.
