Light Meter
Light Meter
In
photography, a light mater is often used to determine the proper exposure
for a photograph. Typically a light mater will include either digital or
analog electronic circuit, which allow to photographer to determine which
shutter speed and f-number should be selected for an optimum exposure,
given the certain lighting situation and film speed. Light meter is also
used in the fields of cinematography and scenic design, in order to
determine the optimum light level for a scene.
Thermometer – a device used to measure the temperature of gaseous, liquid or solid mate or of the
chemical reaction such a fire. Temperature measurement is important to a wide range of activities,
including industry, scientific research, and health care. In health
care, thermometers are used to measure the temperature of the
human body.
Sound level mater – is used for acoustic (sound that travels through air)
measurements. It is commonly a hand-held instrument with a microphone.
The diaphragm of the microphone responds to changes in air pressure
caused by sound wave. That is why the instrument is sometimes referred to
as a Sound Pressure Level (SPL) Meter.
Measuring instrument – is a device for measuring a physical quantity. In the physical sciences, quality
assurance, and engineering, measurement is the activity of obtaining and comparing physical quantities of
real-world objects and events.
Digital Multimeters have a numerical display, and may also show a graphical
bar representing the measured values.
Vernier Scale- is a visual aid to take an accurate measured reading
between two graduations marking on a linear scale by using mechanical
interpolation; thereby increasing resolution and reducing measurement
uncertainly by using Vernier acuity to reduce human estimation error.
Telescopic Feeler Gauge- similar to functionality of feeler gauge, this type of gauge is also known as
tongue gauge, and it consists of long feeler gauge inside a cover with tongue or curve edge.
Long Feeler Strips – protrude out of the cover like a telescope so that it can be inserted into remote
places where feeler gauge access is not possible.
