2022. The 40 Under 40 campaign in its 5th year has undoubtedly become the benchmark of excellence
in the Indian alternative investments space. Words are enough to thank our Presenting Partner Edelweiss
for sharing our vision and supporting this campaign since inception.
The Indian Alternative Investment Industry has matured over years and is gradually becoming part of the
mainstream financial industry, garnering greater attention and acceptance from the regulators, the
industry leaders, and the investor. The recent surge in alternative investments is only the beginning of a
new wave of growth.
It is very imperative for the industry to have a qualified talent pool and high-impact
teams. In regards to that, the ’40 under 40’ campaign aims to
recognize the exceptional and stand out talent in the Indian
Alternative Sector. This campaign is an absolute place for
documenting the success secrets of the best and the brightest
finance minds.
The entire screening process has been a tremendously enriching

process for everyone associated with this campaign. However,
picking these top 21 professionals from the 110 nominations we
had received was tough.
With the ’40 under 40’ campaign having its heart in place,
acknowledging some of the outstanding work being done by the
professionals in this industry has given everyone on the jury as
well as the nominees a captivating experience. We are

About “40 Under 40”

Equalifi’s “40 Under 40” campaign in its fifth edition received 110
nominations. Building up on the work done in the past, “40 Under 40”- 2022
campaign worked with one primary objective to identify outstanding young executives, professionals
and entrepreneurs in the business, visionaries, and innovators changing the way things are done in the
alternative investments sector.
It is the most popular and prestigious awards for the Indian alternative investments industry across
different verticals like fund management, advisory, operations, compliance, consulting, technology,
marketing, product design and fund raising.
The format was changed last year to ensure we identify only the best alternative investment
professionals under the age of 40 without any compulsion to choose 40 winners every time. In 2021
the Jury had selected 26 winners. This year, Jury has selected 21.

Abhisar Jain is the Head and Fund Manager of Monarch AIF. He has 14 years of experience in
the equity markets. Abhisar joined Monarch group in 2019 with a task to set-up the new asset
management division at Monarch and played an instrumental role in setting up Monarch AIF
and launched its maiden equity fund in 2020. He is responsible for taking care of the overall
growth of Monarch AIF and is involved in activities like fund raising, active fund management

Chirantan is Director, Venture Capital at CDC Group within its Technology and Telecom’s Equity
group. He leads on CDC’s growing early-stage strategy that focuses on driving digital-led

Chirantan is responsible for investing and managing a diversified portfolio of early-stage funds

at Anarock Group. Devi has 18 years of experience in real estate, industrial, logistics, data
