Wherein:
a n = nth term
a 1= first term
r = common ratio
n = number of terms
2. To insert terms let us firs identify the common ratio by using the formula
r = an
√
n−k a
1
Where: n = number of terms
k = 1, since it is the first term placement
r = common ratio
Remember that after getting common ratio (r) multiply it with the previous term to find
the next term or divide the next term with (r) if the missing term is a previous term term
Example: a 1, a 2, a 3 ,___, ___, ___ multiply
___, ___, a 3, a 4, a 5 divide
Where:
S = sum to infinity
a 1= first term
r = common ratio
