Title: Causes of dismally performance by ball game teams at Chipadze zonal

competitions

This report aims to present the causes behind poor performance by the ball game teams at

Chipadze zonal competitions venue. There are quiet number of the challenges which caused

poor performance by the ball game teams at Chipadze primary school and these include lack

of food, poor transporting system, poor training methods, negative perception by the teachers

and players and lack of time for maximum training at school.

Additionally the school lacked professional facilitators to coach learners. Basically in

enhancing sports and games, schools need qualified or skilled sports and games teachers who

have the ability on transmitting sports and games skills and knowledge to young students by

teaching them, mobilizing, organizing and planning on influencing sports and games at

schools. As such our school lack qualified or skilled sports and games teachers to ensure that

sports such as football, basketball, rugby, handball, netball, volleyball and tennis are

established and promoted as lifelong practices for students’ achievements.

Once more the learners were not motivated since the school only transported those who were

taking part in sporting activities and no supporters were ferried to Chipadze .Basically if

players are not motivated by their schools like giving them rewards, no appreciation, poor

support, no enough time for sports and games as well as sports and games programs, absence

of sports competition in schools and absence of play grounds this lead to poor performance.

Therefore, poor motivation in at Chipadze affected the influence of sports and games hence

result into poor performance on ball games.

In short the school teams lacked enough food which aids in provision of energy to perform

maximally during the competitions. Food is vital even according to Maslow’s hierarchy of

needs since is the one which give energy to the players .On that note our school gave

deficient food to the players consequently they were playing with empty stomachs’ and this

add to awful execution of the ball game teams. In unambiguous food was ready by the school

subordinate staff and that food was conveyed of late in addition to inadequate food supplied.

The school need to have in stock the likes of glucose so that learners are energised during

sporting.
