SINGULAR AND PLURAL

Naming words that show one in number are called

singular naming words. Example bag, cup, parrot.

Naming words that show more than one in number are

called plural naming words. Example bags, cups,
parrots.

Points to remember: -
1) We add -s to make plurals of most words.
Example
Singular – Plural
boat - boats
toy - toys

2) We add -es to make plurals of words ending with -s,

-ss, -x, -o, -ch and -sh.
