1. why is it important to watch the news?
There are two kind of news really, there are local news in your country and international
news globally and so why are they important. Well, general speaking, I think it’s
important to keep up to date with world affair or current affairs, things happen in the
news, so all of that you need to know what’s going on.
I think if we talk about local news is probably more relevent to you, going to affect you
more, things like politics, elections being held in your country, mybe some change to the
infrustructure they are building a new motoway or a new bridge in your town.
international news is maybe not as relevent so these are issues around the world what
happening in different countries mybe bussiness economics, all of that mybe less relevent
some people say that actually both of these are important and really depend what you do,
if you work at home and you never leave your country, maybe you need to know about
local new, if you’re a business person or an international traveller or you work for multi-
national company, maybe you need to know international news, what’s happening around
the world. it’s gona be more important
you can talk about globalisation leads to the interconnectedness of all our countries
for example, an outbreak – an epidemic
there’s been an outbreak of the corona virus in Wuhan, it’s now affecting other countries
that is a topical , it’s a piece of new that I need to know about that, because I think it’s
relevant and important if I’m going to travel or it may affect me or my community in the
future
