by the Grade 11 Humanities and Social Sciences students of AMACC-Cavite. This study
aims to examine the perspective of Grade 11 students of Trece Martires City National High
School on the categorization of people based on body shape and size popularly known as
“Body Shaming”. This research is in fulfillment of the course requirements in RSCH 111.
Some question in the Focus Group Discussion might elicit discomfort as it will ask
you to evaluate your perspective about the body shaming issues in our society. However, as
this study examines your views, your participation would help the researchers in gaining a
better understanding of the subject. This study may also contribute to the development of
future programs and advocacies to manage and eventually eradicate body shaming. However,
it is not guaranteed that you will receive any personal benefit from this study.
Any information that is obtained in connection with this study and that can be
identified with you will remain confidential and will be disclosed only with your permission.
