ACTIVITY 5B: E-GROUP SHARING

Many social networking sites allow members to form e-groups where members can
create, post, comment and share files among the members. In this activity, you will
participate in an e-group created by your teacher using the Edmodo website.

Step 1: Go to www.edmodo.com. Sign in with a “Group Code”

your teacher will provide you.

Step 2: Take a look at the interface. Explore the things you

can do with this website.

Step 3: Change your profile by clicking on the box with your name. You will need to
verify your password before doing any changes.

Step 4: Post your first message to the group in the comment box. You can choose whom
to send your comment to by clicking the scroll down arrow.

Step 5: Try clicking on these icons to find out what can be sent together
with the message.
 Step 6: Collaborate with your group mates to work on a project.

CHALLENGE:

Continuous improvement of the quality of your product is important to ensure that you
remain in the market. You must always maintain the competitiveness of your product to keep
your income going.

Task: Conduct an internet research about anything related to your product. Recommend to
your group how you can improve it. Consider the following factors that need to be improved in
your product or in marketing it:

1. Taste (for food product) Usability, (for non -food product)

2. Aesthetic value
3. Packaging
4. Nutritional Benefit (for food product)
5. Advertising strategy
6. Cost effectiveness

Share and collaborate (simulate a discussion) with your group using online
collaborative tools. Don’t forget to document your activities. Show to the class how you create
and join in a collaboration using e-group like Edmodo.
