SUBJECT : Action Taken re Strict Observance of Existing Laws, Rules and

Regulations in the Conduct of Anti-Illegal Drug Operations

1. References:

Pindaton), GR No. 249185, April 27, 2022
b) Memorandum from C, RIDMD dated May 31, 2022 with subject the same
as above; and
c) Memorandum from AC, PIDMU dated June 1, 2022 with the same subject
as above.

2. This pertains to the pronouncement of the Supreme Court in the case of

People vs Pindaton wherein the accused was ACQUITTED for the failure of the
prosecution to prove his guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

3. ICOW with above references, we have disseminated said directive during PICE
and thru office Messenger and Viber to ensure that all personnel shall strictly observe the
existing laws, rules, and regulations in the conduct of anti-illegal drug operations,
especially Section 21 of RA No. 9165, and Chapter 3, Rule 2.8 (Rules on Anti-Illegal Drugs
Operations) of the Revised PNP Operational Procedures 2021.
