In this lesson… students will learn about fictional texts and create summaries.
Overview (Review)
Standards of 5.5: The student will read and demonstrate comprehension of fictional texts,
narrative nonfiction, and poetry.

What is going to happen if I read on?

Students will be able to… identify the setting, theme, characters, and
summarize parts of the story in two-three sentences of the book “Hoory for
Objectives Diffendoofer Day!” by Dr. Seuss.
