Fly ash is a heterogeneous material. Fly ash mainly consists of SiO2,CaO,Al2O3, Fe2O3,are the main chemical components
that are present in fly ashes. The mineralogy of fly ash is very diverse in nature .The main phases encountered are a glass
phase, with quartz, the iron oxides hematite, magnetite and mullite.

Fly ash is when suspended in the exhaust gases is found to be solidified rapidly and is collected by electrostatic
precipitators and the fly ash particles are spherical in shape and has a range in size starting from 0.5µm to 300 µm. And it
is observed that due to rapid cooling only few minerals will have the time to crystallize and those are amorphous, and
quenched glass. However, some refractory phases that are tn the pulverized coal does not melt and remain crystalline. In
