(47. cIn exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso (0 article 309 of the Constitution, and in supersession of the Navy (Civilian Gazetted Store Officers posts) Recruitment Rules, 1979, as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the President hereby makes the following rules regulating the method of ‘eeruittnent (othe post of Group “A’ and B' posts in the Navy Ministry of Defence, Namely :— 1, Short title and commencement—{) These nules may be called the Navy Group ‘A’ and 'B' Navy (Civilian Gazetted Store Officess Posts) Recruitment Rules, 2002. (2) They shall coune into force om the dats of their iblication inthe Official Gazette, 2, Application. —These rules shall apply to the posts specified in caluma | of the sthedule annexed hereto. 5, Number, Classification and Scales of pay.—The number ofthe said posts, their classification and the scale of pay attached thereto shall be as specified in columns 2 10 5 of the said Schedule. 1. Method of recruitment, age limit, other qualification, ete-—The method of recruitment, age limit, ‘ualifications and other matters connected therewith shall be as specified in columns (6) o (14) of the said Schedule. “5. disqualifies No person,— {@) who has entered into or coniracted a muasriage with «person having a spouse living, or {b) wlio: haying a spovse living, has entered into or contacted « marriage with any person, shall be eligible for appojntment to aay ofthe sid post ~~ Provided that the Central Government may, if satisfied that such marriage is permissible under the personal Jay applicable to such person and the other party to the marriage and that there are other grounds for so doing, exempt any person from the operation of this Rule. 6. Power to relax—Where the Central Government is of the opinion that itis necessary or expedient 60 to do, it may, by order forreasons to be recorded in writing, and in consiltation with the Service Commission, relax any of the provisions of these nutes with respect fo any class or category of persons or posts. 7.
