Exam Format

 Time Limit: 120 minutes (includes 3 minutes to review NDA and 5 minutes for tutorial)
 Question Format:
o Knowledge-based: Multiple choice, multiple selection, and Active screen (includes
Build list, drag and drop, and Hot area).  A video tutorial and demonstration of
knowledge-based question types can be viewed here.
o Performance-based: Hands-on lab.  A video tutorial and demonstration of
performance-based question types can be viewed here.
 Number of Questions: 
o Scored items: 30 knowledge-based items and 1 hands-on lab with 10-11 tasks

o Unscored items: up to 15 items including knowledge-based and hands-on lab tasks

 Scoring: Within 48 hours of completing the exam results are provided via email.
 Passing Score: The passing scaled score for the Tableau Certified Data Analyst exam is 750.
 Language(s) Offered: English; Japanese available starting July 7.
 Exam Delivery Method: Testing center and online delivery are both available. For the best
experience with hands-on questions, a testing center is recommended. Learn more about
