1. Where I can apply to enroll in the Nationhood Course? Application to enroll in the Nationhood Course can be done in two ways, on -line and manually. For application via on -line, applicant will need to get into the National Civic Bureau (BTN) website namely http:www.btn.gov.my. For application done manually, applicant will have to fill up the Nationhood Course Appication Form which can be obtained from the Unit / Training Department / Human-resource, and then submit to National Civic Bureau (BTN) in bundles through departments / ministry and not through individual.
2. Who is the target group for the Nationhood Course? Refer to Surat Pekeliling Perkhidmatan Bilangan 19 Tahun 2008 , pegawai yang disyaratkan mengikuti Kursus/Modul Kenegaraan adalah pegawai lantikan pertama dalam perkhidmatan awam pada 2 Januari 2002 dan selepasnya yang menduduki TK1 pada gred berkenaan .
3. What is objective of the Nationhood Course? The objectives of the Nationhood Course are: i. To provide exposure and formation of self resilience among the civil servants physically and mentally in order to boost the spirit of patriotism towards the Country and Government; ii. To provide explanation on disciplinary management and personality development of civil servants in the execution of duties; iii. To inculcate attitude, noble values and excellent work services; and ethics among all staffs of public
iv. To fulfill part of the Competency Level 1 under the Competency Level Evaluation for respective service scheme.
4. What is the Nationhood Course curriculum? Nationhood Course curriculum includes history of the emergence of the nation; issues and current affairs; loyalty to the King, Government and Country; Integrity management such as bribery prevention, accountability, moral and ethics; and personal and group development. However, the course organizer can be modifying the course contents subjected to the approval of the Public Services Competency Assessment Board.
5. What is the duration of Nationhood Course? The Nationhood course takes five (5) days to complete. Course organizer however, can change the course duration subject ad to the Public Services Competency Assessment Board. 6. What are the items needed for the Nationh ood Course? Items needed by every participant of the course are as follows: A) CLOTHING : i) Men : (a) White short sleeved shirt (b) Black or dark colored trousers (c) Socks (d) Shoe During Paper work Presentation, LDK and Exam :
Women: (a) White Kurung dress (b) White blouse with long sleeves (For non -Muslim only) (c) Sarong/Long black or dark colored skirt (d) Black shoes(No sandals allowed) (e) Tudung / selendang for Muslims

During Physical and Health Education : (a) "Track-bottom" (b) Short sleeved Collared T -shirt (Men) (c) Long Sleeved T - shirt (Women) (d) Socks/Stockings (e) Sport Shoes
iii)
During Religious activities: (a) Malay Dress (Muslim Men) (b) Telekung (Muslim Women) (c) Songkok (Muslim Men)
(a) Towel (b) Daily clothes (c) Toothbrush, toothpaste, soap and other equipment bathe (e) Razor (f) Slippers
During Course : 1. What will be covered in the Nationhood Course? Participants will partake in slots such as Course Briefing, Group Tasks, Discussion, Lectures on Nationalism and Patriotism, Activities in Physical and Health Education and Exams. 2. How will participant be asse ssed during the Nationhood Course ? Participant Assessment comprises two methods that is assessment during the course and assessment based on final exam. Participants will be evaluated through Group Tasks (LDK) 55%, Multiple Choice Test (OMR) 40% And Physical And Health Education(PJK) 5%. Scoring Points according to Passing Grades are as follows:

To achieve EXCELLENT passing grade, participant must be at excellent level for all assessment items. 3. What type of test format used in the Nationhood Course? Test in this Nationhood Course is in the form of Multiple Choice (OMR). However, the format and number of questions differ according to different groups such as Management and Professional Group and Support Group. 4. Are exemptions given to those who cant participate in the Physical and Health Education activities such as the sick, elderly and alike? Yes. Those who cannot attend the course can be exempted after informing the Head of Facilitator of their condition supported by a verification letter from the doctor. 5. How will assessment be done on those who are ill, elderly and alike? For the sick, elderly and alike, they will still be assessed based on the Nationhood Course assessment format that is Group Task (LDK), Multiple Choice Test (OMR), and Physical and Health Education (PJK). To achieve the PASS level, one needs to obtain at least 28 points (L DK), 20 points (OMR) and 0 point (PJK).
