The three most popular sports in Malaysia are football, badminton and sepak takraw.

Football
The most popular sport in Malaysia is football. The game is played using a spherical
ball. In a football match there are two teams. Each team has eleven players. Each
team competes to get the ball into the other team’s goal thereby scoring a goal. The
team that has scored more goals at the end of the game is the winner.

Badminton
Badminton is the second most popular sport in Malaysia. Two or four players use
racquets to hit a shuttlecock back and forth over a net on a court. Badminton can be
played indoors or outdoors. It is one of the most exciting sports in the world.

Sepak takraw
Sepal takraw is another popular sport in Malaysia. The ball is spherical and made of
synthetic fibre. The court is similar size to a badminton court. There are two to
three players in each team. The game can be played indoors or on the beach, just like
volleyball. Many boys in school think that sepak takraw is the most interesting sport.
