While observing the individuals in a group discussion, positivity was observed more dominantly, and
negativity was present only during certain topics:

The students were very positive when it came to motivating each other, they said positive things about
each other and uplifting others also helped them feel better. However, when they were given
constructive criticism, they became negative and tried to shift the blame on either those friends who
were not present (and were commonly hated in the gathering), or their teachers with whom many
others also had a bad experience with.

Their surroundings did very little impact on them, we expected it to be a lot more, but it was barely
observable. The conditions were not optimal for them, there were many distractors to their
conversations and studying, but they stuck to one thing, and did not complain as much, Complaining and
cursing at bad things in surrounding is considered a negative attitude, which was barely visible.

The distractors included interruptions made by other people, someone casually joining the group
discussion, and behaving abruptly. However, rather than getting mad at them, or saying something
behind their back, the people simply ignored them. If the intensity of the surrounding was increased, it
is possible that they would have burst out and shown rage. In the current spectrum of factors, the group
participants only showed negative emotions when something “bad” (similar to constructive criticism,
and not actually harmful) was said about them. They showed positivity in groups, so having people
around you might be a factor to having more motivation. They showed neutral behavior for their
surrounding, most of which fell under positive side.
