(Patient requires oral hygiene instructions). Sextant 1: Score 4 treated successfully by means of deep scaling and efficient personal oral hygiene measures. Is therefore assigned as complex treatment which can involve deep scaling, root planning and more complex procedures. Sextant 2: Score 0 indicates that there is no need for treatment. Sextant 3: Score 1 indicates that there is need for improving the personal oral hygiene of that individual.
