copywriting.
WHAT 001 DO NOW?
PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE
Write. As often you can. Write. A much as you can, Write. About anything you can.
Start your own blog, Start posting regularly on LinkedIn. Start a regular newsletter about
a subject of interest.
‘The important thing is that you keep writing and practicing the techniques we thought
you - even if you're only working a few gigs a month at first. Always be writing.
GET YOUR CERTIFICATE
If you finished the entire course-bundle (courses 1-8) you will receive a certificate of
completion right after finishing this final session. And boy, do you deserve it!
Make sure to download your certificate. Save it in your folder. And add a new, shiny line
to your CV, resume or portfolio about this course.
Oh - and don't forget to hit that final "complete and continue" button up there, so that
we know you've made it through.
P
GETTING YOUR FIRST GIGS
Landing your first paying jobs isn't easy.
It might be that you need to offer a few freebies (for example, to friends or to local
businesses), in order to get real-life samples, before you can lock down a paid gig.
Your first paid projects are likely to come through your networks (friends, family,
colleagues) or online platforms like People Per Hour. And you may need to offer a low
rate to start with.
Don't get discouraged though, if you are a decent enough writer the paying gigs will
come. The proof will be in your portfolio.
And don't be shy to ‘fake it till you make it’ - you can use all the materials you wrote for
this course as samples. Just don't mention which clients these were for. Just present it as
samples. I'm not telling you to lie, of course. But if a prospective client likes the samples,
it really shouldn't matter to them if you wrote it for a paying client or as practice as part
of a course.
