A straight horizontal line which creates divisions and hierarchy within the design.
 3. SHAPE

A two dimensional geometric shapes

4. SPACE

Negative space, as shown in this image, allows you to maximize the area and enhance
readability.

5. FORM

A three-dimensional shape.
Principles of design

1. EMPHASIS

Apple’s homepage emphasizes and features their latest and greatest product, the iPhone 12
Pro.

2. CONTRAST

A white text on a black background creates a visual contrast.

3. REPETITION

The repetitive use of blue on this Airbus landing page creates a sense of continuity and invites
users to scroll for more information.

4. SCALE

Three internet browser windows in different sizes to show that they can be resized.
5. PATTERN

Arrangement of the repeated shape and color elements of design.
