OpenTower Installation Process

Installation Process:

OpenTower Install/Uninstall:

1. if any older version of OpenTower Designer, Uninstall the OpenTower CONNECT Edition.
a. Remove OpenTower Folder from the following location
i. C:\ProgramData\Bentley\Engineering\
ii. OR C:\Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Bentley\Engineering
2. If any older version of STAADTower installed, Uninstall the STAADTower
a. Remove STAADTower Folder from the following location
i. C:\ProgramData\Bentley\Engineering\
3. Uninstall the “Bentley Structure Property Catalog CustomTower v1.0.0.1
4. Reboot the machine
5. Install the new OpenTower Installer
a. Try open the application from the desktop shortcut icon and if you are not able to see the
OpenTower Pop up, please check if the OpenTower folder created in the following location
i. C:\Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Bentley\Engineering
b. in case of missing the folder, please check with your IT admin and request for moving the
OpenTower folder from their name folder to your folder.
i. C:\Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Bentley\Engineering
6. Reboot the machine
7. If the application will not open, then please check if the following Microsoft Redistrbutables
installed on your computer (from Control Panel) - Required Microsoft Redistributables (not required
if you were running the earlier version of OpenTower)
