The amplified regions are sequenced sing fluorescent dye-labeled chemistry. The sequences obtained are aligned and compared to the rCRS. Differences between the sample sequence and the rCRS are noted by nucleotide position and DNA base. Mitochondrial DNA cannot be used to identify an individual because mtDNA is matemally inherited and all maternally related individuals are expected to have the seme mtDNA profile. Also, unrelated individuals may have the szme mtDNA profile within the sequenced range. Remarks Item KS,1 is retained for archival purposes for possible future testing, The remainder of the submitted items will be returned under separate cover along with the processed DNA generated from the samples. The processed DNA can be found in a package marked PROCESSED DNA SAMPLES: SHOULD BE REFRIGERATED/FROZEN. Caller was confklent about the timeframe because he had just gotten out of jail the first week of Jan. Caller and his now ex-girlfriend would go the iHop or Dairy Queen parking lots to meet a drug dealer. On approx 6 times he would also see the Keyes Construction truck in the parking or already meeting the drug dealer they were there to meet. On or two occasions he saw Keyes in his truck speaking ‘out the window to the dealer who was sitting in his truck. Caller presumed Keyes was there to buy drugs. Callar is afraid of parole violations if he provides his name or girlfriends name. Caller has 2 view of Lobarg Lake from her residence, approximately 15C feet away fron: the shore. Caller began seeing this pickup truck around the beginning’of 2012. The truck would drive out on the lake and park in the evenings when it was getting dark, but caller never observed anyone get out of the vehicle, Usually people are on the lake in the winter time for ice fishing, but caller never observed the driver of the truck go fishing. Caller saw the truck several times on the lake, as well as parked up near the Vietnam Memorial, which bas a good view of the valley. The last time caller saw the truck was approximately three to four weeks ago, and remembers seeing it around the time of Koenig's disappearance. Caller could not recalll any distinguishing markings on the truck. The truck did not have the green construction rack as seen in the recent newspaper photographs. Caller believes the truck was @ regular cab pickup. Caller is familiar with pickup truck cab- styles as the caller has an extended cab pickup.
