listen&fix our new way of raising the issues we face at work and fixing the problems launches next week. Its our opportunity to say what needs fixing to make Tesco a better place to work and an even greater place for our customers to shop. Whatever the problem, big or small, we can work together to solve it and make our jobs easier, better, and more enjoyable. From Monday, we will be asking everyone across the UK business to text or email the issues that they think get in the way and any great ideas they have. Well listen to it all, well respond to everybody and well fix as much as we can. Further communication will be sent early next week highlighting exactly how to get involved, but to really make this work I need your help to lead and engage your teams and encourage them to take part. Thats why I would like you to brief your teams personally about listen&fix, ask them to send in their comments and ideas and please follow up the conversation with a reminder email. And as always Id like to ask you to lead by example and send in your issues and ideas too. In the coming weeks youll be hearing a lot more about listen&fix including progress updates on how we are fixing the problems. We have a fantastic offer starting on Friday. We will be giving our customers a 50 Tesco Gift card and at least 10% off when they buy any TV over 499. This is a fantastic opportunity to drive trade, not only on electrical as the customers will be spending that 50 in store. We also have some great bundles that customers could spend their gift card on. We are running a competition for the best display advertising that offer. Please send pictures to your relevant Tech Support lead area managers (Richard Prior south, Kerris Jones north) and we will be giving two Amazon Kindles (one north and one south) to the stores with the best display.

Quarter 2 space, range and merchandising events

As the last full space audit was completed only recently in Week 10, we have made the decision to cancel the next scheduled space audit in Weeks 21 and 22. Minimal merchandising activities are currently planned for Weeks 21 and 22 and full details of these activites will be sent via the Workplan.

Fridays EuroMillions jackpot has rolled again to over 80 million for Friday 17 June. To maximise sales in your stores, please make sure you: Merchandise your new EuroMillions point of sale as soon as it arrives making sure the over 80 million side is on display. Merchandise your new kit on top of the Tuesdays and Fridays point of sale so that when the jackpot is won, you can easily revert to this message. Remember to tell all your customers about the gigantic jackpot of over 80 million!

Make it count Dads dont

On Friday 24 June, we will be holding Fish Friday. We will be donating 5% of the total fish counter sales on the day to the Royal National Mission for Deep Sea Fishermen. This is going to be a great event and will go a long way to support the families of those fisherman lost at sea. There will be supporting fish counter pings and posters which will be reversible in the run up to the day and for the day itself. Your staff have also received a detailed fact sheet which contains further information on the Fishermen's Mission, just in case any customers ask about the charity itself. This was sent with the Weekly Update. This is a great day for us to try to push sales and support those who support us all year round by supplying us great quality fish and a great price.

Delivering I Don't Queue across Father's Day.

As we approach Father's Day this weekend, please review your checkout schedules to ensure all basket tills are staffed consistently throughout Saturday and Sunday. Historically, we expect a larger number of smaller basket transactions and by ensuring people are in place to open basket tills and support self service, queuing at the main bank will be reduced.
Please utilise store reports to review hourly performance in your store last year, Week 201016.

Massive Clothing Trade Driver

50% off kidswear this Friday and Saturday!
Last weekend we had a fantastic trade driver on womenswear and we have now decided to run the same event with 50% off all kidswear (excluding schoolwear, underwear, socks, nightwear, dress up, jewellery and hair accessories) for two days only Friday 17 June and Saturday 18 June. There will national press advertising to support this event.
Point of sale will be delivered to UK and Ireland stores Thursday, 16 June, and stores will be issued car park banners and A-frame point of sale to promote in the car park.
