Sample Rate and Bandwidth of Acquisition

The Acquisition Bandwidth () is often referred to as the available valid/useful frequency range for FFT analysis in various FFT analysis systems.

The Nyquist frequency is generally thought to be lower than the acquisition bandwidth. Despite the fact that the Nyquist frequency establishes an upper
frequency limit on generated FFT spectra, the practical acquisition bandwidth is frequently even lower. This is due to the impacts of the Analog-to-Digital
Converter (ADC), such as aliasing effects that Anti-Aliasing Filters did not entirely eradicate (AAF).

As a result, the acquisition bandwidth is frequently stated as a fraction of 1.56, or around 40% of the sample rate.
