What is the definition of mathematical induction?

We discuss mathematical induction in this video lesson. What is it, exactly? Mathematical induction
is a technique for proving a mathematical assertion by claiming that if the first example is true, then
all other cases must be true as well. Consider a sequence of dominoes. What happens to the other
dominoes if you tip the first one? They, too, fall. And there we have a practical use of mathematical
induction. If the first domino falls, all the others will follow suit.
