User Guide: FT ECU Bench Flashing Kit

Once you have logged into the Tuning Suite

with your registered kit and have your tune
file set. To flash your ECU do the following.

Step 1: Remove your ECU from the bike. (Location of ECU

will vary by make and model)

Step 2: Connect the Data-Link USB to your computer. Connect

the Bench Flashing Harness to the Data-Link USB. Fig1 - Bench Flashing Harness
Then connect the wall mounted power supply to the Disconnected from ECU
Bench Flashing Harness.

Note: When going through the writing or reading process

it is very important to follow the software prompts

carefully. You will be asked to disconnect and
reconnect the Bench Flashing Harness.

When prompted you will need to disconnect
and reconnect the Bench Flashing Harness from

the ECU only. Do not disconnect from the Data-Link

USB or wall mounted power supply during the writing
process.

Step 3: Once the writing process has completed you will

receive a ‘Write Successful! You may disconnect’

message, at this time you can disconnect from the Fig2 - Bench Flashing Harness
ECU. Connected to ECU

Step 4: Install the ECU back into your bike and have fun!
