I have always loved finance more importantly modelling.

With regards to valuation models which

steadily evolve, I have always had a passion for this while growing up and evidently, I have been able to
channel my career trajectory towards this direction subconsciously. However, I never had no idea of the
professional course to pursue until when I joined Watu Africa. One of my major responsibilities was to
manage the back office cash flow. Even though I was praised for my exquisite performance, I always felt
something is wrong and only analytical and modelling skills would help do this. That’s when I turned to
financial modeling and it has been a passion for me ever since.

As an excel enthusiast, I have always sought to keep in mind the applicability and the practicality of my
advanced excel skills to everyday life. In back office at Watu Africa, I formed a team of like-minded
modelers who designed dashboards used to inform key transactions and critical business decisions. It is
this type of work that I would like to continue doing, where I can apply the principles of modelling to
complete large data driven tasks.

Given an opportunity to pursue this program, I hope to get relevant and useful tools that will, to a
significant extent, help me succeed in gaining extensive knowledge and vast experience that will
contribute to my development. My goal is to become a financial modeler, using my advanced excel and
modelling skills to be able to develop dynamic dashboards and link financial statements. This
professional course program in Advanced Financial Modeler will enable me to do that, equipping me
with the relevant modelling skills and familiarity with industry standards that will make me an excellent
modeler. This program will also pave the way for my career.
