Subject: Severe weather warnings notification settings awareness
Dear members of the NOAA team, ,
While I hope everyone is having a great day at work, ithas come to our attention that members of the general public are having difficulties with getting severe weather warnings notifications on their smartphones. It is our organizations responsibility to inform these people how they can get warning in a fast and effective way. We believe this may be because of lack of instruction from official sources. The main source of information for the past has been through radio and public television. We have realized that with use of new streaming platforms and the use of smartphones many people may not even realize that their location has a warning. This is why we believe that adding severe weather notifications should be another main source of information for the general public. The problem is that many may find it challenging to actually enable these kinds of notifications. Because of this difficulty some people may face we are proposing that everyone should help with the development of these guides to help the general public enable these settings on their smartphones. These guides should be easy to follow and should be in many different types of formats so that they can be spread around as easily as possible.
If anyone has any idea to help with the development of guides or any suggestions on how we should go about creating them talk to your immediate supervisor or just send me an email.
Thank you for your time,
