What is swarna prashan :

Swarna Prashana is a process in which SWARNA(GOLD) or


“HERBS WITH GOLD” is given in the form of liquid, semi solid or
paste form to children. ‘Swarna’ means ‘Gold’ and ‘Prashana’
means ‘to eat’.

Benefits:

● By administration of swarna prashan for 6 months, one can


attain the श्रत
ु धर (improves memory power) state.
● Improves intellectual capacity (मेधा)
● Improves the digestive fire. (अग्नि)
● Increases the strength
● It provides diseases free state (आयष्ु य), improves
psychological state (मांगल्य), decrease the chances of
hereditary disease (पण् ु य)
● Improves the complexion (वर्ण्य)

When to administer swarna prashan?

Time of administration :

Generally it is given during pushya nakshtra.

Age :

Swarna Prashan could be administered to a new born infant to a


16 year old child. However, it is most beneficial for children up to
five years of age.
Ingredients of Swarna Prashana: 

Gold, Vacha, Shankh Pushpi, Brahmi, Ashwagandha, honey,


cow’s ghee, etc.

How is Swarna Prashana Prepared?

Swarna Prashana is prepared with swarna bhasma (gold ash)


mixed with honey and cow ghee containing herbal extracts like
vacha, brahmi, shankhpushpi etc. Swarna bhasma is prepared
from PURE GOLD through ayurvedic techniques and calcination.
