Following our sessions in Beijing (2011), Istanbul
(2012), Harvard (2013), Hong Kong (2014), Lisbon (2015), Harvard (2016), and Copenhagen (2017), the Institute invites you once again for a four-week session of seminars and lectures on the theory and practice of world literature, hosted by Professor Mitsuyoshi Numano at the University of Tokyo’s beautiful Hongo campus. Directed by David Damrosch, the Institute is supported by Harvard and by five dozen institutional affiliates from around the world, guided by an international board of advisers.
