Paintkit Instructions and Disclaimer

The paint-kit provided for the IRIS PC-9/A is very close to that of the T-6/A Texan II and
as such many T-6 paints can be ported to the PC-9 maps with few adjustments.

This paint-kit is made primarily of four 2048x2048 bitmaps and is in Adobe Photoshop
format and will work in both Paint Shop Pro and Adobe Photoshop.

Please note that all textures shipped with the PC-9 have been downsized to
1024x1024 pixel bitmaps due to issues on some video cards. As such, whilst we
strongly recommend you design your skins on our 2048x2048 masters, that the final
compiles be downsized to 1024x1024 pixels in size.

IRIS paint-kits are shipped with all layers relating to primary common decals, rivet lines,
panel lines, weathering etc. It is strongly recommended that these are not altered, as
doing so may result in line mismatching with specular and normal maps.

Furthermore, ANY and ALL skins distributed for this product MUST contain the following
disclaimer.

“Repaint by <your name, and/or group> using the IRIS Pro Series PC-9 paintkit by
David Brice, IRIS Flight Simulation Software.”

It is a simple courtesy and one that we would like to be respected.
