Hence, the null hypothesis is rejected.

Table 2 shows the t-test for independent samples results. As gleaned from the table, there is no
significant difference between the male and female in terms of their grades in basic statistics (n=20)
based on the t-value of 1.038 with the corresponding probability value of 0.313 which is greater than
alpha 0.05. Hence, the null hypothesis is accepted.
