This term in English, we have been learning about prepositions. Prepositions are
small words that help us add more information to a sentence (such as where
something is positioned). We have focused on prepositions of PLACE, TIME and
CAUSE.
In History and Geography, we have been learning about the Iron Age and looking
at their settlements and hillforts.
Can you write some sentences about an Iron Age settlement using prepositions?
For example,
Next to the houses, men were sharpening their deadly, strong tools.
In the morning, the cows were milked in order to make cheese.
The Iron Age people dug steep, dangerous trenches in order to keep the vicious,
violent enemies out.
