Music Lessons September 2022

If your child would like to learn a musical instrument at school from September 2022, we offer lessons on a
wide range of instruments.
From Years 3-6, we offer clarinet, flute, violin, guitar, trumpet and trombone, recorder (Years 2-6),
drums (Years 4, 5 & 6 only), and saxophone (Years 5 & 6 only). Lessons take place during school hours and
are taken by specialist music tutors that we buy in. Instruments can be hired from Hounslow Music Service.

Those pupils who are already having music lessons will continue as usual and you will be billed for this on
your ParentPay account unless you inform the school that you wish for your child to cancel. I am sure you
appreciate that you need to commit yourself to a course of lessons so that we can book the appropriate
teacher’s time.

All beginners will be taught in small groups and a course of lessons lasts for 10 weeks per term. If a teacher
has to cancel a lesson, they will try to deliver an extra one at the end of term where possible. If lessons are
missed due to a child’s absence, these will not be delivered at another time.

The price is £65.00 (£32.50 if currently or previously registered for Free School Meals/Pupil Premium) and
the price for recorder lessons is £55.00 (£27.50 if currently or previously registered for Free School
Meals/Pupil Premium).

If you are currently entitled to Free School Meals and interested in instrumental lessons for your child, but do
not feel able to apply for them due to financial pressures, please contact us, as we may be able to help with
payment.

27th June 2022. Payment for these lessons must be made on your ParentPay account by Tuesday 19th
July 2022.
