1. List three activities in your lifestyle that would enable you to reduce your impact on
soil erosion. Which, if any, of these activities are you willing to give up?
The three activities in my lifestyle that would enable me from reducing the impact of
soil erosion is that firstly, maintaining our front yard clean without leaving any pieces of
trash, knowing that the drainage was placed near of our house. Secondly, my mom has a
lot of plants in our yard, watering and taking care of them is part of my daily routine.
Lastly, me and my siblings used to collect bottles and recycling, decorating and turning it
into pots, and give it to our mom because we know how much she loves to plant.
Those three activities of mine may be just a simple act but I know to myself that it has
a positive impact to the environment and of course by any chance, reducing the impact of
soil erosion. So, with that one, I am not willing to give up those activities of mine, and
will just continue doing it for I know that It will contribute a positive effect to the
environment.
2. What are the three most important actions you would take to reduce hunger (a) in
the country where you live and (b) in the world?
(a) actions that I would take in reducing hunger in my country
As a student, what I think that could reduce hunger is that simply being educated. And I
really consider education as a powerful tool when it comes to this kind of problems in the
country. It is because, If I am knowledgeable regarding this topic, I could spread awareness
by means of, for example, simply writing an academic paper about reducing hunger, a simple
essay can actually help informing people.
And also, as a good daughter, I always consider and always keeping in my mind all the
advices that my parents told me, specially about the behavior in front of the foods. One of the
lines that they keep on reminding us (specifically pointing to my younger brother), “wag
kayong pihikan sa pagkain dahil yung iba bata diyan, halos wala nang makain, tapos kayo
nasa harap na pagkain, maghahanap pa ng iba, magpasalamat nalang kayo kung ano
ang meron kayo”. Which is indeed a fact, so, it is really important to listen to our parents
too.
