MEMORANDUM

SUBJECT : Request for Blood Examination

1. Request conduct of medico-legal (blood) examination on the accompanying specimen.

a) NATURE OF CASE :

The scion of a rich family in Makati City has requested the PNP Crime
Laboratory to conduct a chemical analysis on the drugs being
administered to her recently departed father,

b) VICTIM :

His daughter, Sophia Vargas-Ayala told police investigators that his father
has a combo of prescribed drugs for hypertension and enlargement of the
heart by his personal physician.

c) SUSPECT :

It was only when an estranged elder half-brother of Vargas-Ayala, whose

name was not disclosed, arrived from the US for a vacation a week ago
that her father started to go downhill, she claimed. Vargas-Ayala suspects
that Don Emilio was slowly poisoned by her half-sibling for failure to get
the inheritance that he was demanding

d) Time, Date, Place of Occurrence :

Don Emilio Vargas, 98, who was found dead in his bed in his Bel-Air home
at 9:00 a.m. of January 24, 2016
 e) SPECIMEN SUBMITTED :

For the past months or so, her father has been mentally alert and
physically active even if he was wheelchair-bound. He would go out every
day in his garden, talk to the nurse and the caregivers, enjoy the sun and
listen to classical music before he went to bed.

2. Further request that this Office be furnished a copy of the medico-legal examination
result for our reference.
