1. Request conduct of medico-legal (autopsy) examination on the accompanying

specimen to determine the cause of death.

a) NATURE OF CASE :

A homemade bomb planted inside a van exploded shortly after it unloaded

passengers near SM City Davao on Ecoland in the city’s Matina District
injuring the driver and conductor, police said.

b) VICTIM :

The victims identified as Jeffrey Sawal, driver, and German Guzman,

conductor, were brought to Southern Philippines Medical Center, Danao
said

c) SUSPECT :

Danao said the police were eyeing several angles, including personal
grudge and terrorism. “We should always be vigilant and report any
suspicious activity to the police,” Danao said.

d) Time, Date, Place of Occurrence :

Toyota Hi-Ace van was moving outside the gates of Ecoland 4000
residences around 9:45 a.m. November 18, 2020.
 e) SPECIMEN SUBMITTED :

At least two cars parked along the road were also damaged. Bomb
experts scoured the area in search of clues shortly after the incident.
Among the pieces they recovered were the shattered casing of what
appeared to be a 60-millimeter mortar shell and a damaged cell phone

2. Further request that this Office be furnished a copy of medico-legal examination

result for our reference.
